CSI Dives into Deep End Dining.

Eddie Lin, who publishes the food blog Deep End Dining, has been tapped as a technical adviser for the television show CSI. Apparently inspired by his notorious write up (and video here) of eating still-squirming octopus tentacles, the CSI NY crew has recruited him to find west coast gourmands who "MUST BE WILLING TO EAT WEIRD FOOD ON CAMERA, PROBABLY BUGS OR LIVE OCTOPUS OR LIVE OCTOPUS TENTACLES AND ACT LIKE THEY'RE ENJOYING IT." Yes, it's your chance at fame, and a tiny bit of fortune. Congrats Eddie! From pimping for the Olsen twins to CSI, you are way outta our league...(p.s. Eddie, see my photo at the right ->)

Russia bans Norwegian Farmed Salmon.

"Russia will ban all fresh Norwegian salmon imports from January 1 2006 because they have found dangerously high levels of lead and cadmium in the fish and Norway's monitoring system is not adequate."

Never Going Back - to Frozen Chicken!

"We've finally roasted our first fresh-killed chicken, and we're never going to cook frozen again if we can help it."

Here in California, the Food Banks are Gourmet

"Although much of the food would be considered staples, there are also unique items, such as wheat flour; crème fraîche; organic seeds like flax, fenugreek, Quinton and amaranth; and ready-made bags of salad. "We've been called the 'gourmet food bank of California' by other food banks," executive director Toni Thompson said."

Foodie View - the Ultimate Recipe Search Engine

Simply amazing. Your search is narrowed down to numerous options (yeah, that obviously makes sense), including the ever popular "celebrity chef" recipe.
